5 Things To Pray For Your Spouse

Prayer is a wonderful and necessary act of devotion in the life of Christians. Prayer can encourage and build up others whilst at the same time help you grow and think about how you can be used by God to work out His will. Praying for, and with, your spouse is very important, here is a very short resource that will help.

This little book has four sections that summarise the chapters and the prayer pointers that they contain. The four sections are;

  • Praying that God will…
  • Praying that we will…
  • Praying that my spouse will…
  • Praying when we are…

Under each section there are multiple chapters, each linked with a passage of Scripture and 5 things to pray for. Each prayer point focuses on a verse from the Bible passage and has a very short explanation of how that should lead you to prayer. I like that the book doesn’t only focus on prayer for your spouse, but also for the marriage in general and the home. It takes a more holistic approach, which I think is good and helps the reader see the role they have to play in it all too and not only to focus on the other person.

If you’re unsure of how to pray for your spouse, if you marriage is going well and if you’re struggling, this book could be a great tool to help you know how to pray Scripture for your spouse, marriage and home.

You can buy the book here for just under £5, this is the kind of book that would be good to have on the shelf and to come back to it time and time again. You might want to work through it systematically and take all 5 prayers from a chapter a day, or just take one and slowly work your way through. However you do it, you’ll be blessed by it 🙂
