I’m a bit confused by the cessationist article. I think he is using the term differently. The belief that God doesn’t reveal new doctrine is consistent to evangelicals and reformed. Ethic more or less so though Redemptive Movement hermeneutic creeps in on that. Consistently cessationist has been used to mean a cessation of sign gifts ie tongues prophecy and miracles
